A study of 2012 MLB opening day rosters reveals that the Mariners originally signed 34 players, the most of any team.  The Cubs and Giants, and Cardinals originally drafted and signed the most players out of college (19).  The Rangers originally drafted and signed the most players out of high school (18).  The Mariners originally signed the most international free agents (15).
